Leeds United Predicted Starting XI for Premier League Match Against Brighton

Leeds United's head coach Daniel Farke is optimistic about having a fully-fit squad for Saturday’s crucial Premier League fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.

Farke confirmed that Willy Gnonto has resumed training following his recovery from a hernia operation. Although the Italian winger is not yet ready to feature from the start, there is hope he could be included in the matchday squad, providing a valuable attacking option.

In addition, Gabriel Gudmundsson has also returned to training after suffering a minor injury a bruise sustained during the 2-1 victory over West Ham United last Friday. The Swedish left-back is now in contention to start in defense against Brighton, offering additional defensive cover.

Joe Rodon, who opened the scoring in the West Ham win, is expected to continue at the heart of Leeds’ defense alongside Jaka Bijol. The backline is likely to be completed with Jayden Bogle at right-back, while goalkeeper Lucas Perri is anticipated to retain his starting spot between the posts.

In midfield, summer signing Anton Stach is eager to re-enter the starting lineup. However, Farke may prefer to maintain the current trio of Sean Longstaff, Ethan Ampadu, and Ao Tanaka, who have been instrumental in recent performances.

Offensively, Brenden Aaronson scored against West Ham and is expected to retain his position on the right flank of Leeds’ attacking three. Daniel James, who has now regained full fitness, is pushing for a recall on the wing.

On the left, Noah Okafor looks set to start ahead of Jack Harrison, while in the central striker role, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is likely to lead the line again, aiming to extend his run as Leeds’ primary goal scorer in the Premier League, ahead of Lukas Nmecha and Joel Piroe.

Predicted Leeds United Starting XI: Perri; Bogle, Rodon, Bijol, Gudmundsson; Longstaff, Ampadu, Tanaka; Aaronson, Calvert-Lewin, Okafor.
